On the eve of my next birthday, I’m sharing my vision board.
It is, like me, a work in progress π. I have various goals pinned on it and they will stay there until they change or they’re achieved. There are things I want to do; many places I want to visit and experience. It’s so interesting to see how people live in different parts of the country and world. I believe it helps us to understand each other a little more.
Several of my visions are faith-related, some are about missions, travel, some are personal and some are business -related.
I love that God gives us dreams that are a size too big to grow us. He always working the situation toward our good and His glory.
There’s not a lot of “materialistic ” things on my board. Although I enjoy nice things; in my mind, His blessings are not just for me to enjoy. To me, life is about more about sharing blessings and opportunities than amassing a lot of possessions which is why I’m so big on giving consumable gifts or experiences.
There is a picture of a house, not a big fine one, but rather, a concrete block one. That house represents a mission organization that I support which build houses in Haiti. So far I’ve been blessed to be a small part of that vision but I pray that I’ll be able to participate in that mission in a bigger way in the future.
We were discussing blessings and our responsibilities as Christians just this morning. God promised to bless Abraham so he could be a blessing to others.
We were also talking about being an encourager to others. That’s a huge part of my heart.
I want to be remembered as an encourager and leave people a bit better than I found them… a little happier, a little more hopeful, a little closer to God.
I love getting to build relationships with people. I’m a very relational and social being, enjoying being with people and getting to know them. Even though I (we all) struggle with finding the right words to say, I believe God can and does use our relationships to bring honor and glory to His kingdom.
Relationships is one of the reasons I enjoy my business so much. Connecting with, encouraging and supporting women is in my wheelhouse along with sharing things I’m passionate about.
At the same time, I also enjoy a challenge in the areas that aren’t necessarily in that wheelhouse and my business also provides that as well. I’ve met so many like-minded women like these who challenge me to step out of that comfort zone to “do better and be better.” ‘
This tribe of women is all about desiring to do better and be better. They’re an inspiring bunch who love changing lives and inspiring others to be comfortable and confident in their own skin.

One of my new friends posted a quote by F Scott Fitzgerald that really spoke to me.
“For what it’s worth:
It’s never too late to be whoever you want to be.
I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start over.”
To those words I declare, ” YES!”
With birthdays sometimes comes wisdom. π
What I’ve come to realize is that life is indeed a vapor and time is a precious thing not to be wasted by doubting or overthinking. Life is too short to stay in a rut because you don’t have the confidence to try something new. Ten years from now you’ll probably only regret the things you didn’t try or do.
Take the dream you have and Make it Yours.
I challenge you to make a vision board; if not a physical one, then a digital one on your computer, or phone and put your goals and dreams on it. Look at it often and take steps toward those goals daily.
What’s your dream?
What do you want to do?
