Revisiting my thoughts on Seuss today. How I hope to entertain & inspire as he did !

Today is Theodor Seuss Geisel’s birthday, (better known as Dr. Seuss). His wit and wisdom inspire me greatly. When I was teaching I so enjoyed Read Across America Day & week sharing the thoughtful, inspirational messages in his children’s books. Many of them are modern-day fables that show us how to treat others with kindness and respect, no matter how different they may be. I believe that each of us has been created with a uniqueness, much like a snowflake, but with much more intention and purpose.
Over the years, the truth of his words has inspired me. I have found that many of them are based on biblical principles.
I love this quote that’s quite popular today: “In a world where you can be anything, be kind.”
